Anger Management Techniques – Where’s the Middle-ground?
Strange times we are living in which makes the need for anger management techniques all that much more imperative. We’re living in an age that’s beyond political correctness, and not so sensitive to be offended by political incorrectness either. Some view the age we live in as incredibly cynical in a dark humor sort of way, and incredibly chaotic, in terms of the social structures that are coming together.
Perhaps as a result to that macro chaos that’s going around, more and more people are joining into a nearby anger management class. And this is because various data points are indicating to social scientists that anger is becoming more and more of an issue. To take a cue from pop culture, you can easily think of a few movies in the past few years alone that have to do, quite directly, with anger management; think of a popular musician that had gone on a tour themed after an actual court ordered anger management course that he had to go through.
It’s the definitely a bit part of our society, and it sort of goes hand in hand with getting things done super quick; and being impatient… It’s almost as if, extreme behavior is excused, or even a sign that you’re something of a singular personality, a success even, if you lack certain fundamental anger management techniques.
Think of the meccas of academia, particularly in the area of mathematics, and the impatience there. All of the cutting courses in theory and applicative technicality are there, but the one these folks need most, these maladjusted asocial types, is an anger management class (which will never be taught in an academic setting).
Anger is increasingly viewed as being an “actual issue” leading to an explosion of anger management courses available, in person, in books and online. They are increasingly effective as new anger management techniques are being developed as our knowledge of the neurobiology of anger increases.
